Rising Star Volunteer Fire Department Annual Dove Fest Events for Non-Hunters

Dove season is just around the corner and while many people hunt, others do not. The RSVFD Dove Fest offers events for those of you who do not hunt. The annual dove fest is the primary fund raiser for the Rising Star Volunteer Fire Department.  There will be lots of activities for everyone.  There’s a 5k run-walk, golf scramble, classic tractor

show, fire truck show, live entertainment, and more.  Here’s a list of the day’s events.

Date:

Saturday, September 1st

5k Run – Walk – Crawl:

registration at 6:30; race starts at 7:45 am

One Mile Fun Run:

registration 6:30; race starts 9 am

Fun Day at the Park:

11 am-3pm

includes lunch, auction, raffle and door prizes

Live Entertainment:

Jackie Bibby “Texas Snake  Man”,Texas Slim and the Imposters and Elvis!!

Classic Tractor/Fire Truck Show:

starts approximately 6pm

Golf  Scramble:
