CarWalk, a popular annual ArtWalk event, is ready to roll into downtown Abilene this evening. After being rescheduled due to inclement weather in March, the forecast is ideal for displaying these works of art on wheels.

Hundreds of members of the Big Country Car Clubs and elsewhere will put their cars, trucks, hot rods and classic cars out for display from 5-8 downtown.

CarWalk had been scheduled in June in previous years, but was moved up to March 8th this year. That just happened to be the day that Mother Nature dumped a pile of freezing rain on west Texas, causing the cancellation. The only other available date was today, July 12th. CarWalk is sponsored by the Center for Contemporary Arts.
