In the hustle and bustle that was Wednesday's deconstruction of THQ's assets, a few games, like the WWE franchise, were left out of the madness. Now reports indicate there could be a major sports developer stepping in to take over the wrestling series.

According to IGN, Take-Two is in talks to snap up the WWE license. Sources close to the matter told the site talks took place outside of the auction, and that the parent company of 2K Sports was close to a finalized deal. To make things even more interesting the official WWE Games Twitter account stated it would have more news about future games late yesterday afternoon.

Take-Two managed to purchase the Evolve IP during THQ's asset auction on Wednesday, but was outbid on a few other properties. What do you think of Take-Two/2K possibly taking over WWE video games?
