Valentine's Day is coming up and if you're single out there great news! Texas is a great state for singles if you're looking for love. Valentine's Day is next week and it's a time for people who are lucky to be in love to share sweet romantic things with their better half. For singles, it's a time of reflection, joy, sadness or in my case, extreme happiness since the chocolate is going to be 50% off the next day. With about 45 percent of adults in America being single, many are out there trying to find their match. If you're a single out there looking for Mr. Right or Ms. Perfect, the Lone Star state is a great place to be and find your forever mate.

The personal-finance website WalletHub decided to look at all 50 states and the District of Columbia to see what places in the US have the best picking for singles out there. Turns out, Texas scored pretty high on the list! Back in 2017, Texas was still pretty high at #6 on the list but now we're moving on up and Lone Star lovers ranked #3. Here's how Texas came out in the rankings:

Dating in Texas (1=Best; 25=Avg.):

  • 30th – % of Single Adults
  • 13th – Mobile-Dating Opportunities
  • 14th – Median Annual Household Income (Adjusted for Cost of Living)
  • 1st – Restaurants per Capita
  • 1st – Movie Theaters per Capita
  • 12th – Average Beer & Wine Prices

There are plenty of apps and websites to help singles out there find that special someone, and lots of date opportunities too! So if you want to find your Valentine before the big, red holiday, get out there! The opportunities are endless for love.
