Race Between a World War 2 Airplane and a Range Rover is Closer Than You Might Think

We've all seen our fair share of other people racing their cars, trucks, on foot or even cars racing airplanes. But, have you ever seen an SUV race an airplane? The results might surprise you as this vintage World War 2 British Spitfire airplane takes on a Range Rover.

Apparently the new 2014 Range Rover Sport is pretty fast and the British are pretty amped up about the new speedy SUV. So, they decided to put the British made Range Rover up against another product of Britain - the British Spitfire airplane, which was used in World War 2.

The race itself is pretty simple. Both start off at the same point on a grass runway and race the length of it, then, they turn around and go back. You would think that the airplane would blow the Range Rover away since it can go up in the air. But, as you'll see in the video, the race is a lot closer than you'd think.
