Puddle of Mudd decided to blow off their new album and put out an album of covers in advance of a summer tour. Some tour dates will even include the band playing the entire project in one set, then a set of Puddle of Mudd originals. After hearing the band play "T.N.T." by Ac/Dc live, I'm kind of stoked for the idea. Plus they chose some really cool covers to record. Here's the listing:

"Gimme Shelter" (Rolling Stones)

"Old Man" (Neil Young)

"TNT" (AC/DC)

"Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" (Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty )

"The Joker" (Steve Miller Band)

"Everybody Wants You" (Billy Squier)

"Rocket Man" (Elton John)

"All Right Now" (Free)

"Shooting Star" (Bad Company) (Oh, a Paul Rogers twofer!)

"Funk 49" (James Gang)

"D'yer Maker" (Led Zeppelin)

I find it kind of interesting that they aren't doing any 90's covers. I'm also not feelin' the last two, but who knows, they could be good. It's also odd that "Rocketman" made the list since Maynard recently had such a cool cover of it. Anyways, imagine even hearing half of this and half Puddle of Mudd songs, it would make for a really fun summer concert.
Enjoy some Puddle of Mudd now!
