It's frustrating to write something when you know the knuckledraggers will judge it by the headline or the Facebook tag, but here goes.

There are Presidential candidates directly responsible for the Planned Parenthood shootings. Would this Christian extremist have shot something else up? Probably. A nut is a nut. That doesn't change the fact that some of these candidates pointed a giant flashing finger at this clinic.

Let's review, shall we?

Some douchebag edited some tapes of Planned Parenthood personnel to further an agenda. Presidential candidates quoted these tapes, and at times even added more exaggerations on top of what was on the tapes even though they had never seen them. Got that?

They put their own BS on top of some other BS that they never looked into in the first place. It's ridiculous. They blew this topic up to further their campaigns, and some loony snapped and killed a cop and two other people and injured nine others over it.

I believe it makes matters even worse that not one of these people have stood up and said 'this is NOT how we handle our differences.'

My friends, I deal with this "toxic speech" issue all the time. That is why I never engage anyone when the topic is heated. I'm not afraid for my safety; I'm afraid for theirs. I don't want someone I know to defend me.

I am a friend to many and I don't want someone with violent leanings to have one too many drinks and crack one of my critics over the head. It's happened before and it made me physically ill because I felt responsible. This is why I think these Presidential candidates should be held responsible.

Folks, we have to learn to discuss our differences rationally and look for solutions in an orderly manner. Right now, abortion is legal. If you have a problem with it, find a way to make it illegal. Don't take it out on the people who are doing something that's legal.

I never had a friend die of a drug overdose until OxyContin came along. Should I hate the pharmacist who fills the prescriptions, or work against the company that put what I think is an unsafe drug out there? Logic would tell you that the pharmacist is just doing his job and someone will continue doing that job as long as the drug is legal.

These Presidential candidates should be ashamed and they should show some leadership by saying this behavior is inexcusable. By not doing so, they are just opening us for more attacks.
