We now know when we can reopen the Velvet Room and play Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 on PlayStation 3.

A recent posting on Atlus' Twitter has officially given us the PlayStation Network's release date of Persona 4 as a PS2 Classic download. That's right, we can finally revisit the world of Personas starting on April 8. Persona 4 is going to priced at the low price of $9.99 on the PSN. It should be noted, this will be the original PlayStation 2 version, and not the revamped Vita edition.

Persona 4 will bring you to the Japanese rural district of Inaba, where unexplained murders have been occurring all over town. As victims bodies keep being found dangling from television antennas on rooftops, police are baffled at the undermined cause of death for every victim. A widespread rumor starts to spread throughout your character's high school, revealing that people are starting to believe that watching a turned-off TV at midnight on a rainy evening will magically reveal who your soulmate is, which happens to be the same scenario for each of these murders. You and your classmates will have to entire the TV World and unleash your inner Personas in order to set things right. We can't wait to return back to this otherworldly, Scooby-Doo-esque investigation of the rooftop murderer in just a few days.
