Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament is bringing the band to his home state and will partner with Senator Jon Tester to give two very lucky fans an incredibly rare opportunity at their just announced Missoula concert.

For their last show and only non-festival U.S. gig of the year, the live rock powerhouse that is Pearl Jam will bring their talents to Missoula, Montana. As if seeing them perform their usually 30+ song set isn’t enticing enough, the band is offering some very exclusive seating options to help support Senator Jon Tester’s re-election campaign.

“Jon is a hardworking Montana farmer who has never forgotten who he works for or where he comes from, and he brings the responsible leadership America needs to the U.S. Senate,” explains Ament, a longtime friend of the Tester family. “Pearl Jam looks forward to joining folks from across Montana in support of Jon to build momentum and re-elect him in November.”

VIP seating for the Sept. 30 gig at Missoula’s University of Montana Adams Center was made available via Tester’s official site, that included premium seats as well as admittance to a pre-show event at which Pearl Jam and Tester will be present. Those looking to have an even more exclusive experience can enter the “Best Seats in the World” contest with a contribution to Tester’s campaign. The title of the sweepstakes seems hard to live up to, but when you throw in travel arrangements, hotel accommodations, a meet and greet with the band and the senator and watching the show from a recliner on stage — it really eliminates all doubt surrounding the hefty claim.

Check out an interview with both Jeff Ament and Senator Jon Tester at 96.3 The Blaze in Missoula. In the interview, Ament also talks about the upcoming Pearl Jam album, which is set to arrive in 2013.
