Nine Inch Nails Mark Return to U.S. Stage With Lollapalooza Performance

It’s been four long years since Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails have played a live show in the U.S., but all that changed yesterday (Aug. 2) when they hit the stage to close out Day 1 of Lollapalooza at Grant Park in Chicago, Ill.

With their eighth studio album ‘Hesitation Marks’ due out on Sept. 3 it’s no surprise that their set list included a few new tunes. However, they certainly played plenty of the classics too, seemingly aiming to keep everyone in the eclectic crowd happy.

Among the new tracks were ‘Came Back Haunted,’ the first single, with accompanying video directed by David Lynch. They also played ‘Find My Way’ and kicked off their set with ‘Copy of A,’ two new songs that made their live debut at the 2013 Fuji Rock Festival. Watch the video above to see the start of their Lollapalooza set that kicks off dramatically with a solo Trent Reznor entertaining the masses as his bandmates join him one by one.

Their 22-song set was full of some of Nine Inch Nails most successful songs throughout their career  including ‘The Hand that Feeds,’ ‘Head Like a Hole,’ ‘Closer, ‘Terrible Lie,’ and ‘Hurt.’

For fans that couldn’t make the trek to Chicago, Lollapalooza set up a live feed of Nine Inch Nails’ set. For fans that couldn’t tune in to the live feed, check out some of the videos captured from their performance below.
