are back in action, revealing the first taste of new music from their upcoming eighth studio album. The group just unveiled the lyric video to the politically charged song 'Edge of a Revolution,' which can be seen above. The song is also available on iTunes.

The band has signed a new deal with Republic Records, and a fresh studio album is expected sometime this fall. Frontman Chad Kroeger commented on the deal and the upcoming record, "We are very excited to be releasing new music for our fans and feel it's some of our strongest material to date. During the recording process as we looked toward the next chapter, it became clear that Monte, Randy and the entire Republic / Universal team had a shared vision and passion for this project.  Their track record of artist development speaks volumes to their success and we are honored to be partners with them."

The group's upcoming album is the follow-up to 2011's 'Here and Now,' which went platinum in the U.S and double platinum in Nickelback's native Canada. The album also spawned the singles 'Bottoms Up' and 'This Means War.'

Nickelback have been one of the most commercially successful rock bands for more than 15 years, selling more than 50 million units worldwide. Their signature song 'How You Remind Me' was named Billboard's 'Top Rock Song of the Decade' and they were crowned Billboard's 'Top Rock Band of the Decade.'
