With the flip of the calendar into June 2012 came the arrival of a bulk of the summer jams to get us through the hot summer months — and quite a few stellar ones at that. Let’s take a look at what we’ve been offered so far, shall we?

Fun. keep the party going with ‘Some Nights,’ the follow-up to their chart-topping breakthrough ‘We Are Young’ and the title track to their latest album. New York noise rockers A Place to Bury Strangers return later this month with their third album, ‘Worship,’ and ‘And I’m Up’ is the second single to be released from the disc. And speaking of returns, fellow New Yorkers Grizzly Bear are gearing up for a big one with ‘Sleeping Ute,’ the first single off their ‘Veckamist’ follow-up, tentatively titled ‘Warp229.’

Elsewhere, indie rock pin-up queen Liz Phair connects the dots with ‘Dotted Line,’ a song bound for the soundtrack to the forthcoming flick ‘People Like Us.’ Regina Spektor turns in a version of the popular ’50s French ditty ’Don’t Leave Me (Ne Me Quitte Pas),’ and Australia-based Sub Poppers Husky offer up a tender folk ballad titled ‘History’s Door’ off  their forthcoming July release, ‘Forever So.’

All are new songs in June 2012, ready to treat your waiting ears with some serious sonic candy throughout the summer months. Be sure to check back on this page frequently, as we will add more as they come out.
