Celebrate the birth of our nation come July 2012 with rock stars of all stripes, as a whole new army of music releases descend on the U.S. of A. New discs from Passion Pit, Dirty Projectors, Mum, Delicate Steve and an EP from the Antlers highlight the new releases, with a massive Blur box set celebrating the Britpop band’s 21 years together also arrives in July 2012. God Bless America — and England!

Electro-poppers Passion Pit are set to release their much anticipated sophomore set ‘Gossamer’ on July 24, and fans of the band can hardly contain themselves. The unveiling of the track listing and album cover art only stoked the fire, as did the just-released video for first single, ‘Take a Walk.’ Passion Pit also are set to take ‘Gossamer’ on the road, as they have a smattering of summer dates lined up through a Sept. 9 co-headlining gig with Hot Chip at the Hollywood Bowl.

Other discs definitely worth checking out include Stereolab member Laetitia Sadier’s solo turn on ‘Silencio’ and post-punk vets Mission of Burma’s ‘Unsound’ — but there are plenty more where those came from. Check out the complete July 2012 list of indie and alternative rock releases below.
