Once upon a time, there was a little independent movie made that was deemed so scary some people thought you'd lose your mind if you watched it. That movie was then remade and a bit of humor was added to the mix. The third movie in the franchise went full on fantasy/horror/comedy.

This is the legacy of The Evil Dead, The Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness. This legacy will continue on the Starz Network.

It's not too late to join this party even if you haven't seen the first three movies.

To catch you up: A bumbling, arrogant jackass with a knack for one-liners has the uncanny ability to kick monsters' asses. That's all you really need to know.

In fact, when I was typing this up, I realized how much this movie had in common with the Desperado movies (just substitute guitar player for jackass and outlaws for monsters).

The same group of people who are bringing this to Starz are the ones that brought the still-100 percent recommend Spartacus to life. (A lot of the stuff there has the feeling of the 300 movies -- epic, but still done digitally on a soundstage. It's a pretty cool look if you like your action over the top.)

Now get ready for the trailer for the most epic thing to ever happen anywhere.
