The NASCAR Sprint Cup series headed to Phoenix International Raceway over the weekend and Kevin Harvick won the race.  But, his win was overshadowed by a huge brawl between Jeff Gordon and Clint Bowyer

Bower and Gordon have been having a little feud all year long.  And, other than a few bumps here and there in the cars, and a few words exchanged between them, they both kept their cool.

Man, did that ever change.

With only a handful of laps to go, Gordon, who had been bumped earlier by Bowyer, waited for the #15 car to come around the track, then purposely wrecks him.  That was just the beginning as members of both teams came together in an epic brawl that was all caught on tape.  Check it out.

Jeff Gordon and Clint Bowyer Brawl

Apparently Gordon had just had enough of Bowyer.

"Things just got escalated over the year and I'd just had it," Gordon said. "Clint has run into me numerous times, wrecked me, and he got into me on the back straightaway and pretty much ruined our day. I've had it. [I was] fed up with it and I got him back."

Honestly, I think that if NASCAR would let the drivers have at it, the sport might be a lot more fun to watch. 'Let's go fighting, boys!'

In the meantime, with Harvick's win, and Jimmy Johnson's horrible finish, Brad Keselowski, who barely got by the wreck that Gordon caused, is now the points leader by 20 points, with one race left to go in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship.  The final race is at Homestead this weekend.
