‘More Mexicans Leaving Than Coming to the US’

Let's just say Trump actually does get elected president. Then, let's say he's successful in building a wall between the US and Mexico. It appears that if these two things do happen, he'd most likely be keeping more Mexicans in the US than out.

A new report from Pew Research Center states that from 2009 to 2014 1 million Mexicans and their families (including US born children) left the US for Mexico. While in that same span US census data shows that only 870,000 Mexican nationals left Mexico for the US.

Now, you're probably thinking that it has to be impossible to accurately calculate these statistics. And you'd be partly right. We'll never get a 100% accurate reading on something like this. That is until big corporations take over and microchip everyone on the planet. But in the time being we can look at some pretty reliable statistics.

Just take a look at the numbers of migration from 1995 to 2000. Approximately 670,000 Mexicans left the US for Mexico, while 2,940,000 Mexicans came over to the US. The report states that the decline in immigrant flow is due to several reasons, including family reunification, and a down American economy.
