Mastodon are working toward a new album, but that's not the only thing on the band's plate these days. The group just took part in a video shoot for fellow Atlanta-based rockers The Coathangers.

In fact, the clip for 'Follow Me' actually features the Mastodon members in drag pretending to be the all female band while The Coathangers' actual vocals and instrumental performances remain intact. The eye-catching clip, which also features a person in a horse suit playing accordion, can be seen above. 'Follow Me' appears on The Coathangers' 'Suck My Shirt' album, due March 18 via Suicide Squeeze.

In other Mastodon news, while the band is working on new music, singer/bassist Troy Sanders says fans may get a taste of another Mastodon record this summer. He tells Stereogum that the band is contemplating the idea of revisiting their 'Leviathan' album on tour for its tenth anniversary.

Sanders explained, "I was just told that we could do a handful of shows this summer where we just play 'Leviathan' live. I think [the record] is great and I'm certainly a fan of longevity. I don't know many bands that have stayed with the same four guys for the last 14 years. I'm proud of that and think it's great that we are still friends and have the same focus and drive. I remember the four of us were prouder of that record than any of the previous ones. And I'm still really proud of it. It's a classic in my opinion."

While nothing is set in stone, Sanders adds, "I don't think any of us would be opposed to playing a 'Leviathan' show and a handful of other songs." However, the bassist admitted that the band was just beginning to rehearse for live shows again and that they had yet to determine what they would perform in future set lists.
