Winter is coming ... again ... for Mastodon's Brent Hinds. The musician revealed during a recent appearance on Jamey Jasta's Jasta Show podcast that he's shot a second cameo for the hugely successful HBO series, Game of Thrones.

Fans of the band and the show may remember that Hinds and his bandmates Brann Dailor and Bill Kelliher made a guest cameo during an episode in the series fifth season two years ago. That also came after the band had contributed a song called "White Walker" to the Game of Thrones: Catch the Throne mixtape.

During his appearance on The Jasta Show, Hinds, explained, "I just came back from my second cameo on Game of Thrones. This time, I had my broken leg and they were like, 'You’re doing the best zombie walk, we want you to come right towards the camera. I want you to drag this axe behind you.' I’m like a reborn, come to life wildling turning into a White Walker."

Hinds broke his leg last fall after an incident with his motorcycle. The filming for the cameo took place in Belfast, Ireland. It is not known if Hinds was joined by his fellow bandmates this time around. You can hear his discussion in the Jasta Show podcast below.

Mastodon are ready to deal with a "walker" of another kind as they prepare to issue their new Emperor of Sand conceptual album that deals with a man wandering the desert while dealing with a death sentence. The album is due to arrive on March 31.
