It looks as though Master Chief is still in the grieving process because he told us not to expect his return until 2015, but at least we have another remake to suffice.

In an interview with GameZone, the voice of Master Chief, Steve Downes, has said not to expect Halo 5 until 2015, but to look forward to Halo 2: Anniversary. Downes said the following to GameZone regarding Halo 5: “I wouldn’t expect anything until 2015. What you can look forward to this year is an anniversary edition of Halo 2.”

It makes sense that Halo 2: Anniversary would be released in 2014, given that it marks the 10-year anniversary of Halo 2's release, which helped define online console gaming via Xbox Live.

Unfortunately, Downes has yet to hint at whether or not 343 Industries will be handling this remake along with which systems we can expect it on (personally, we're expecting both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One). Microsoft has yet to comment officially on either aspect, but with all attention on Titanfall at the moment, the silence certainly makes sense.
