Mars One Project Seeks Applicants to Live on the Red Planet Forever

If you are over the age of 18, and want to spend the rest of your life on Mars, then you may be in luck. A Netherlands based nonprofit organization called Mars One, is now taking applications to send 4 lucky people to mars - forever. Seriously.

The Mars One project is planning to send a group of people to colonize Mars and they have officially started taking applications. The only kicker is once you get there, you can't come back. So, if you are one of the lucky 4 to get picked, you are stuck like Chuck.

I guess that means late night trips to Taco Bell and booze will be out of the question. Not cool.

If interested, you must be over 18 years of age, willing to spend the rest of your life in space. Plus, you must also have intelligence, resourcefulness, courage, determination and skill, as well as psychological stability.

Well, there goes my chance.

You can submit your application and short videos on Mars One's website. The group plans to have selected its top 24 astronauts grouped into crews of six by July 2015, and plan on sending people to Mars in 2023.
