Update: Ubisoft reached out to CVG to inform the site that while the map was official, it isn't representative of the in-game world. "While the cloth map, which actually wraps a paperweight guillotine, reflects historical Paris, it is not meant be an in-game representation," the statement said. The map was part of a promotional item given away in limited quantities.

An OXM UK report says that the official world map of Assassin's Creed Unity may have leaked to the world, and if this turns out to be true, then we're all in for one gigantic assassin extravaganza.

OXM cites a Reddit thread started by user Skelaa, where a picture of the leaked map (below) is linked. The user comments on the size of the map, using the "Île de la Cité" in the middle of the map as a reference. The user also reminds us that "we can enter 1/4 of the buildings, so the map will seem bigger!"

We're not sure how much bigger this map can seem, because just by looking at it we can see that it's freakin' immense! There are so many landmarks and streets and places to see that we may spend an entire week just exploring Paris as soon as the full world is open to us. While we enjoyed the open seas and Caribbean exploration of Black Flag, the "one giant city" approach of Brotherhood and Unity now (if this leak is correct) lends itself better to the Assassin's Creed series. Sailing is cool, but part of us would much rather traverse the rooftops to get to our destination.

Assassin's Creed Unity launches Nov. 18 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
