Kings of Leon’s Caleb Followill and Wife Post First Photo of Baby Daughter

Kings of Leon singer Caleb Followill has been putting the band’s hiatus to good use, welcoming his first child with Victoria’s Secret model Lily Aldridge into the world on June 21 — and now the happy couple has introduced young Dixie Pearl to the world at large.

Aldridge took to Twitter with the snapshot, which shows Followill holding the baby up during a candid family moment. “Glad everyone liked our family pic,” she responded after her followers expressed their excitement and support. “She’s our angel!”

As the Daily Mail reports, this isn’t technically the first time Aldridge has posted photos of Dixie Pearl; last month, she tweeted a snapshot of her daughter’s bootied feet, and — as tends to be the case for first-time parents — her Twitter feed has generally become a Dixie-centric zone, with tweets about various family milestones.

Followill and Aldridge celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary in May, roughly six months after Kings of Leon announced plans to go on a brief hiatus. The band’s most recent album, ‘Come Around Sundown,’ reached No. 2 on the Billboard charts, eventually achieving gold certification after its release in October 2010.
