Incarnate, Killswitch Engage's forthcoming record, will be released on Friday (March 11) on Roadrunner and the metalcore stalwarts have been steadily releasing new songs all week in preparation. The latest, their sixth track to be unearthed, is titled "Embrace the Journey ... Upraised" and features more impactful lyrics and the band's signature blend of melody and slugging rhythms.

With songs like "Alone I Stand," "Hate By Design" "Cut Me Loose" and "Strength of Mind" already released, "Embrace the Journey ... Upraised" continues the lyrical theme of positive reinforcement and self-reflection. Singer Jesse Leach sounds vicious, unleashing his personal touch once again over speedy rhythms accented by tempo changes from drummer Justin Foley, who has laid down some of his best work to date. The clean-sung chorus is a Killswitch Engage staple, showcasing the more emotional side of the band through anthemic vocal melodies against memorable chord progressions.

In our exclusive interview with Leach, the singer discussed how he has embraced his journey in the band since returning to the fold in 2012, explaining he's never satisfied with anything, but how he is happy where he is right now, grateful to be afforded the opportunity to travel the world and play music.

Killswitch Engage will be touring in support of Incarnate starting March 16, where they will kick off a run with Memphis May Fire and 36 Crazyfists in San Antonio, Texas. The tour will run through April 22, coming to an end in Asheville, N.C. For a full list of stops, visit our 2016 Guide to Rock + Metal Tours.
