Raise your glasses for Killswitch Engage, because the band just cracked the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart. Killswitch’s newest album, Incarnate, debuted at No. 6, moving 35,000 copies in its first week.

Killswitch Engage have had more first-week album sales with previous albums, but Incarnate has given Killswitch the act’s highest placement on the Billboard 200 to date. Though this is yet another example of album sales being down across the board, metalheads have proven their devotion once again by purchasing music in higher numbers compared to fans of competing genres.

Led by the singles “Strength of the Mind,” “Hate by Design” and “Cut Me Loose,” Incarnate is the first KsE album since 2002’s Alive or Just Breathing to be written completely with singer Jesse Leach back in the band. He did return for 2013's Disarm the Descent, but the band had already started the writing process for that album. The singer calls Incarnate his finest vocal performance to date, and the passion he put into the record resonates throughout Incarnate.

Incarnate has also given Killswitch Engage the highest charting positions of the band’s career in Australia, Germany, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
