Ubisoft's Killing Day, which made its debut at E3 2005, hasn't been seen or heard from since. However, that could change soon based on a recent trademark filing.

According PlayStation Lifestyle, Ubisoft has filed for a new trademark on Killing Day with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. When the first footage was shown last decade, Killing Day had some pretty impressive visuals. The character models looked really good, and the inclusion of fully destructible environments took it to another level. While plenty of games have surpassed the look and vibe of the game by now, an updated version would certainly be welcome.

Originally slated to arrive on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, there's a chance Killing Day could still make it onto those consoles. There's also the possibility Killing Day may be headed to next generation consoles like it originally was back in 2005. We'll just have to wait and see what Ubisoft has in store for this forgotten franchise.
