Katie Cassidy — Crush of the Day
Here’s one thing we’re pretty sure about – female superheroes are hot. And DC Comics’ Black Canary is one of the hottest lady heroes of all time. So we’re glad to hear that The CW made a wise decision in casting the crush worthy Katie Cassidy to play Black Canary in the new ‘Arrow’ TV show, which premieres this Wednesday.
The 25-year-old actress plays Dinah Laurel Lance, the character who eventually becomes Black Canary, on the show. While she may not don the tight pleather and/or spandex in the show’s premiere episode, Cassidy says that we could see her character go full-on hero in the future.
“When – if [she becomes Black Canary] is always still a question. You never know with these writers; they could do anything,†she said in a recent interview.
Cassidy isn’t new to the CW family. With previous roles in supernatural,’ ‘Melrose Place,’ and ‘Gossip Girl,’ you could say she’s one of the network’s stock hotties. And we’re not complaining.
