Marvel Television’s huge Netflix panel at San Diego Comic-Con was loaded with surprises, and plenty of new teasers and trailers. You’ve got your Luke Cage trailer and you’ve got your Defenders teaser. But what would the Defenders be without Iron Fist? They would just be two guys and a woman who fought crime, but didn’t have a crazy martial artist who could harness his chi into his hands for mega-powerful punches. Still pretty formidable, to be honest. But not quite as cool.

There’s not much in the way of punching in this first teaser for Netflix’s Iron Fist, just a lot of ominous atmosphere and a few shots of Finn Jones as Danny Rand, the man who becomes Iron Fist. Take a look at the first teaser above.

Marvel and Netflix also unveiled this really stylish poster, featuring Iron Fist’s dragon logo. (The comic book version of the character has the logo emblazoned on his chest, though it’s not clear yet whether Mr. Jones will sport a similar tattoo. He definitely spells his name with the logo instead of an o, though.)

And hey, how about a synopsis? You want a synopsis, right? You know you do:

Danny Rand returns to New York City, after being missing for years, to fight corruption with a proficiency in kung-fu and the ability to call upon the power of the Iron Fist.

Marvel’s Iron Fist comes to Netflix in 2017.
