If You Believe We’re Losing Gravity Tomorrow, You’re Too Stupid To Live

I wish the following meme was true. That way maybe, just maybe I could fly off this planet of stupid people. The latest fake meme involves a note from NASA.

The claim is that tomorrow morning at 9:47 Pacific Standard Time (I believe that's 7:47 for us. Get it? 747, like the plane?) , a planetary alignment will result in no gravity for five minutes. Okay, let's break this down.

The planets are not scheduled to technically "align" until 2854 (and even then it's within 30 degrees).  The last time they aligned was 561 b.c. The planets somewhat align every 500 years. The real truth of the matter is, the planets NEVER truly align.  Okay, so we've established that this has happened before and history has show us nothing happened.

Next up there is that gravity thing and this is where I want to shake someone and say "do you even science you idiot?".  Gravity has to do with the mass of the earth and no planetary push or pull. Without gravity the actual air and water on the earth would be sucked into space. It would not be a world of floating pencils and you swimming through the air to your friends house for another bong hit, it would be TOTAL DEVASTATION and the end of life on this planet.  We would become like the moon and have no atmosphere.

Lastly this was an April Fools Joke about ten years ago. People just keep recycling it and even dumber people keep passing it on.
