Four early Husker Du rarities are getting the reissue treatment as part of a double 7-inch set that's due out on Record Store Day 2013. The band's first-ever single, 1981's 'Amusement,' will be released on April 20 at participating record stores with the B-side 'Statues,' packaged together with an additional 7-inch featuring the tunes 'Writer's Cramp' and 'Let's Go Die.'

The version of 'Amusement' featured was recorded live at venerable Minneapolis hardcore venue Duffy's, while 'Statues,' 'Writer's Cramp' and 'Let's Go Die' all were laid down during a 1980 recording session at the local Blackberry Way Studio. The three Blackberry Way tracks all have been remastered from a first generation sub-masters -- the originals are long lost -- and 'Amusement' was mixed from the original Duffy's live board recordings.

The original artwork has been souped up with a 28-pt board gatefold jacket, and the entire set is due out on Record Store Day in a limited edition of 4,000 copies. In the meantime, listen to the original studio mix of 'Statues' below.
