We've all heard the saying "Everything's bigger in Texas". Come to find out, there are a couple of cities in the Lone Star State where things are bigger and snobbier.

According to a recent survey conducted by Travel and Leisure Magazine, both Houston and Austin are among America's 20 snobbiest cities. Texas and California are the only states to rank two cities on the list (L.A. and San Francisco - no argument here).

Houston (ranked 17th snobbiest) was called a city with "a combination of a rich arts tradition and luxury shopping helped this oil town rub shoulders with the nation’s snobbiest.".  Austin (19th) makes the list because, according to Travel and Leisure, "the whole city resonates with a brainy, offbeat vibe.". I'm sure Austinites take that as a compliment.

Here are the top 20 snobbiest cities in America:

1. San Francisco, California
