20th Century Fox has released the first set of still images from their upcoming feature film, 'Hitman: Agent 47', to CVG.

'Hitman: Agent 47' stars Rupert Friend, who took the role after the death of Paul Walker, who was originally slated to play the lead. Featuring Zachary Quinto, Thomas Kretschmann and Ciaran Hinds, 'Hitman: Agent 47' is not a sequel to 2007's 'Hitman' starring Timothy Olyphant, but rather a reboot. Rookie director Aleksander Bach will helm the film, which follows Agent 47 as he helps a young woman discover her true identity as a fellow genetically engineered assassin before joining her in a battle to defeat the Syndicate and trying to rescue her father.

A teaser trailer for 'Hitman: Agent 47' was shown at San Diego Comic-Con last week, but that footage has been kept under wraps, making these images the first exposure most fans will have to the film. IO Interactive, the studio that created the Hitman franchise, is also at work on a new open-world game in the series, and showed off concept art for the ambitious project back in May.

'Hitman: Agent 47' is set for a Feb. 27, 2015 release in theaters everywhere.
