You've probably seen the photos all over your Instagram and Facebook, people love Google's Art Selfie Feature! But Texans can't use it. Find out why.

The Arts & Culture App by Google has been all over social media- people have been uploading photos of themselves to try and see what famous artwork they resemble. Ordinary people and celebrities alike are loving the app and seeing which famous paintings they look like.

The problem? People in Texas are having trouble finding the app! The Chicago Tribune reported that only two states, Texas and Illinois, don't allow the app because of the states' biometric privacy laws. The Texas version of this law limits companies who obtain "biometric identifiers," things like retina scan, iris scan, fingerprints, voiceprints, hand or face geometry, etc. for commercial use. The law was passed back in 2009 and violaters could be penalized up to $25,000. So because of this law, sadly Texans will never know if we resemble more the Mona Lisa or the Girl With The Pearl Earring. But I'll just assume I'm a deadringer for Gustav Klimt's Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I.
