Business Insider recently revealed a list of the most educated towns in America. Ironically, the most educated town in Texas is one most haven't even heard of.

The list is based off of a survey of towns with at least 1,000 population with the highest percentage of adults over 25 who have at least a bachelor’s degree.

According to the report, the most educated town in Texas is Lost Creek, which also ranks 7th in the nation.

Lost Creek, Texas is about 7 miles west of Austin. According to the United States Census Bureau, it has a population of almost 5,000 people. But, apparently, they are pretty smart because 86.3% of the people over 25 have a bachelors degree.

I have a bachelor’s degree in being lazy. Does that count?

What stands out to me on this list, besides the fact that there is a town named Chevy Chase, is the fact that most of these towns listed are suburbs of big cities, or they are college towns. Go figure. College towns have smarter people, apparently.

Here is the list of the most educated towns in each state

So, now that we know the most educated town in Texas, I wonder what town is the least educated? Any guesses?
