Kidney stones suck. I know from personal experience. The day after my 34th birthday I had this sudden pain in my back, and was floored for almost 3 days. Rather than going to the doctor, I basically stayed curled up in the recliner for those three days and passed them myself. Holy f#cking pain.

Apparently, what I really should have done is go ride a roller coaster. A doctor at Michigan State University heard from a patient that claimed they passed a kidney stone after riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Disney World. The doctor had also heard stories about people passing kidney stones while bungee jumping.

The doctor and a colleague ended up making a mock kidney loaded it up with real kidney stones, and noted what happened to while on a roller coaster. Guess what, it works. But you need to be sitting in the back. Four of 24 passed in the front, while 23 of 36 passed in the back of the coaster.
