Gay Marriage Has Arrived With A Thud

I think it's important to mention that gays have been getting married for a while now and nothing has happened.

We go through these national controversies and the screaming idiots are never right. It's the same thing with the end of the world scenarios. Once again, nothing.  There is no "judgement" upon America. There is no breakdown of the American family. All that happened is some people now have their legal spousal rights. That's it.  Oh, some people lost/quit their jobs because they didn't want to be a part of it, but that's okay. I quit roofing because I didn't want a part of all those sunburns, so it's not that rare for somebody to change jobs because they don't like what they have to do.

I am not writing this from an "I told you so" viewpoint. I'm writing this in hopes that the next time there is a big issue that we don't let the national discussion hurt us more than the actual topic.
