We don’t envy BlackBerry owners who are stuck on the pot for long stretches. What do they do when they’re caught up on their email? They certainly don’t have many games to choose from. Just about all the good stuff heads to iPhones, with Android devices picking up the scraps.

Gameloft is set to introduce some wetness to spell the BlackBerry game drought. In a press release, the company says it’s readying 11 games to launch on the BlackBerry 10 operating system. Games getting ported to the system include some we’ve actually heard of, including Shark Dash and Oregon Trail: American Settler.

The games will be linked with a Game Center-like network called Scoreloop that will make online play and social network spamming of your so-called accomplishments possible. Is there anything more pathetic than bragging about your gaming scores to your friends on Twitter or Facebook? We aren’t sure, but we’ll let you know after we do it.

BlackBerry devices typically don’t sport the most game-friendly design, so we’ll have to wait to see how these titles play on the too-smart-for-their-own-good phones before we can deem them worthwhile.
