Fundraising Efforts Have Begun to Help Family Pay for Final Expenses for Deceased Local Musician Mike “Mookie” Morgan

Mike "Mookie" Morgan lost his heroic battle with esophageal cancer Monday morning and this amazing community have already come together to help raise funds for final expenses.

Mookie was a mainstay in the Abilene music scene for many, many years. He was a leader and great example to all musicians who followed him. He was also an exceptional father, husband, family member and friend to those who knew him. Mookie was a great example of an all-around great human being.

When a loved-one passes, the last thing a family needs to worry about is final expenses; be it for remaining medical or funeral costs.

There has been a fund set up to help lighten the burden of these costs. If you'd like to donate, then please do so. If you can't afford to help out, no problem. But, please share this with your friends so they may be able to help. At the very least, please keep Mookie's family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
