Former My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero was involved in what was reported as a "serious" crash in Sydney as he and his band The Patience were set to perform a show in the Australian city.

According to Australia's 9News, there was a crash between a bus and the musician's tour van. The bus was reportedly not carrying any passengers at the time, but the driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital for mandatory tests. Meanwhile, Iero escaped injury in the accident but two other men had to be taken to the hospital. One was airlifted by helicopter while the other was taken via ambulance. Both men were reported to be in stable condition and Iero gave his statement to the police. Because of the accident, the band canceled their scheduled performance Thursday (Oct. 13) at the Metro Theatre in Sydney.

Iero and several of his bandmates issued social media updates after the accident letting their fans and loved ones know that they were well, but shaken a bit by the events of the day. See their tweets below:

In addition, several other artists from the music community expressed their well wishes, including Iero's former My Chemical Romance bandmate Gerard Way. Those posts can be seen below:

We at Loudwire send our best wishes to Iero and his bandmates and hope for a healthy recovery for all involved.
