Fozzy‘s fifth studio album ‘Sin and Bones’ will be released Aug. 14 via their new label, Century Media Records. The band is fronted by wrestler and ‘Dancing With the Stars’ contestant Chris Jericho, who also hosted the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards earlier this week.

Jericho says ‘Sin and Bones’ is Fozzy’s hardest hitting effort to-date. “It’s the typical cliché, but ‘Sin and Bones’ really is the best thing we’ve ever done. We’ve taken the heavy yet ultra-melodic style that has become Fozzy’s trademark to the next level and I guarantee these songs will blow all of you away!”

Guitarist Rich Ward is excited that Fozzy has signed with Century Media. “Shortly after my 12th birthday, while air-guitaring to Iron Maiden, I decided that when I grew up, I wanted to ‘pay my bills’ by playing guitar. In 1995, Century Media Records allowed this seemingly unreachable goal to become a reality with my band Stuck Mojo. When that relationship came to an end in 2001, I continued making and releasing music with several different bands, through several different record companies. There was only one common thread in all my experiences with these other organizations – I wished they were more like Century Media.”

Fozzy has toured extensively in Europe, but still haven’t done a proper U.S. tour in their 12 year career. That will change this summer as they are on the bill of the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival along with bands such as GodsmackShinedown, StaindPapa Roach and Adelitas Way.
