Marking the 12-year anniversary of Turn 10 Studios, Forza Motorsport 5 has overhauled its garage for downloadable content vehicles, which includes the addition of the all-new 'Top Gear' car pack.

Dan Greenawalt, Turn 10 Studios' Creative Director, has written a letter to the gaming community on the Xbox Wire that describes what the past 12 years of working with Turn 10 has been like. 2014 also marks the ten-year anniversary of the original Forza Motorsport title which was released on the first Xbox console. It took the team nearly four years to release the next Forza title -- you could tell that the studio cared about its product's quality and community and were not simply rolling out annual releases with minimal differences.

Turn 10 took its time and even now, Forza Motorsport 5 has drastically changed over the past four to five months since the its next-gen debut. The most recent change for Forza 5 revolves around the garage system. From this point on, if you buy a Season Pass, a DLC car pack or single car, you will automatically be given the one-time, free addition of each car you download to your Forza 5 garage. This circumvents the in-game credits purchasing of these DLC cars, allowing you to instantly ride around in them without having to worry about credits. Furthermore, all 200 initial cars that launched with Forza 5 (excluding DLC) are now available as rental cars.

Greenawalt has teased at yet another announcement coming in just a few weeks.

The Xbox Wire also reported that Turn 10 has teamed up with the team behind the famous automobile show 'Top Gear' to put together a collection of 10 beautiful vehicles for players to race in and customize. The DLC also includes the Stig's digital cousin, against whom players can race to earn the bragging rights of having beat the 'Top Gear' driver. At least, in a video game.

Included with the Top Gear Car Pack is the 2013 Lexus GS350 F Sport, 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STi, 2006 Hummer, 1998 Nissan R390, 2011 Ford Transit SuperSportVan, 1999 Lotus Elise Sport, 1980 Renault 5 Turbo, 2013 Audi RS4 Avant and a beautiful 2013 Holden #10 Xbox Racing Team Commodore VF. Like other Forza 5 bundles, the Top Gear Car Pack will sell for $9.99 (starting today) and is included as a part of the Forza Motorsport 5 Car Pass for those who purchased it.
