The collaborative spirit is alive and well in the Foo Fighters camp. The band, who have been welcoming special guests at each stop along the promotional trek for their 'Sonic Highways' series and album, had Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh and Jane's Addiction leader Perry Farrell turn up for their Los Angeles gig at the Roxy on Friday night (Nov. 14).

Both Walsh and Farrell were welcomed to the stage for a performance of the Jane's Addiction classic 'Mountain Song.' Farrell's instantly recognizable vocals filled the intimate venue and it was clear he was energized by the collaborative opportunity as he bounded about the stage while singing the song. Walsh, meanwhile, mostly stayed in the background of the performance until later in the track. You can watch it in full in the fan-shot video above.

Walsh was kept busy throughout the night as he also played on a performance of 'Outside,' the track he appeared on with Foo Fighters on their 'Sonic Highways' album, as well as delivering a blistering performance of his own 'Rocky Mountain Way.' Fan shot footage of Walsh with the Foos on 'Outside' can be seen below.

Foo Fighters just released their 'Sonic Highways' album last week. It can be purchased at Amazon and iTunes.
