It's particularly tough for military personnel to be away from home for the holidays, so back on Nov. 20, Five Finger Death Punch brought a taste of the States to a U.S. Navy base in Yokosuka, Japan. Check out the video report from AFN Pacific in the player above.

The guys are no stranger to performing for the troops and have traveled overseas several times to lift the spirits of enlisted men and women. In the clip, guitarist Jason Hook says, “You know we always try to hit the bases just because we know what that does for the troops that are over here and just kinda enlighten spirits and deliver a little pick me up to come play some music for our friends in the military.”

Earlier this year, Five Finger Death Punch released the emotional video for 'Wrong Side of Heaven,' a clip that shines a light on the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder and the rampant homelessness afflicting military veterans today. The band released the following statement about the video: "We wanted to do something impactful to help our veterans in need. With this video and the accompanying campaign we hope to shed more light on the seriousness of their issues. The statistics are shocking, and if any change is to take place it will start with general public awareness. We have been playing numerous military shows but wanted to do more; educate, reach out and donate to the organizations that are making a difference to better the lives of our veterans."

In related news, 5FDP launched a web site, www.5fdp4Vets.com, where veterans can find contact information for more support.
