Ding ding! The gloves are off in Round 1 of March Metal Madness and Five Finger Death Punch and Bring Me the Horizon are facing off to determine the Best Metal Song of the 21st Century. Two modern day heavyweights are going at it!

Five Finger Death Punch's "Coming Down" comes off their third album, American Capitalist. The song was written to call attention to suicide prevention with an engaging narrative in the music video. The lyrics are gripping, painting a vivid picture even without the music video and pulls on the heartstrings. Singer Ivan Moody becomes more engaging, screaming a little over the half way point before everything drops out for a somber break and scorching solo.

Bring Me the Horizon have experienced one of the most meteoric rises in heavy music and they couldn't have achieved it all without cutting songs like "Shadow Moses." The epic track comes off their 2013 standout effort, Sempiternal. Boasting one of the most anthemic choruses of the current century, "Shadow Moses" hits on all fronts from aggressive and punchy to downright catchy.

So, which song will move on to the second round of March Metal Madness 2016? Listen to both tracks and vote for either Five Finger Death Punch's "Coming Down" or Bring Me the Horizon's "Shadow Moses" as the Best Metal Song of the 21st Century in the poll below!

(This poll will end on Tuesday, March 8, at 9AM ET. Fans are able to vote once per hour, so keep coming back to make sure your favorite song wins!)
