The first baby born in France in 2016 was named Lemmy after recently laid to rest Lemmy Kilmister.

According to the Monsieur Vintage, baby Lemmy was born Minjoz Hospital of Besancon as the new year rolled in, and his parents named him Lemmy in honor of Motörhead's front man.

Kilmister passed away on Dec. 28 after a brief battle with cancer. He was 70 years old.

Back in the U.S., a memorial will be held on Saturday at the Rainbow Bar and Grill in L.A., where Lemmy was known to frequent.

An online petition has also been started to erect a Lemmy Kilmister statue at the Rainbow.
