Get ready to go on a journey .... both visually and audibly as well ... as Enslaved have released an epic new video for their song "Storm Son" from the upcoming album E.

Josh Graham designed the epic clip, which takes viewers on a journey through the various musical moments and style changes that occur over the 10-minute plus track. We open with a silhouetted bird-like creature being at the center of the action before eventually giving way to a silhouetted man traversing the rough mountainous landscape. After making his way home and unleashing his energy, this intriguing creature wanders a snow-covered terrain, undergoing a transformation and eventually finding himself in a four-way battle of beings.

Stylistically, Enslaved give listeners a little bit of everything. Opening with a hypnotic, somewhat cyclical and melodic guitar lick, the song starts to evolve into something a little heavier. The first vocals don't come in until around the two-minute mark, with guttural vocals and an angelic chorus providing an interesting contrast within the song. The track undergoes several signature shifts, becoming more forceful and going from being a chugging rocker midway in to something purely chaotic with rapid drumming later in the song. It's an epic journey Enslaved provide for listeners, all the more enhanced by the Graham-designed clip.

"'Storm Son' deals with the duality of man and nature, how important and basic that relationship is," explains songwriter and guitarist Ivar. "Everything we do and create are imitations of nature; as we evolved from nature, that is how it must be – yet modern man thinks he and she is independent of nature, that we somehow are so superior that we do not have to take nature into consideration other than as a backdrop for s---ty movies. Or festivals. Losing touch with nature is basically to lose touch with being human."

As previously stated, "Storm Son" can be found on Enslaved's upcoming album E, which is due Oct. 13 via Nuclear Blast. There are currently physical and digital pre-orders underway. Enslaved are currently on tour in Europe and have dates booked through the end of the year. See where they're playing here.
