Upon first look, you might not suspect the red-headed soft voiced singer of "The A Team," Ed Sheeran, to be a metalhead, but never underestimate the power of music and how it may influence musicians. Sheeran recently dropped in on a Marilyn Manson concert and ran into the guys from Korn backstage, offering a confession to Brian "Head" Welch in the process.

Welch posted a selfie of himself with Sheeran backstage, revealing the following info: "Of course @teddysphotos would walk right past me and @munky_korn @marilynmanson concert and tell us he just listened to 'Freak on a Leash' earlier today. Why should we be surprised? 😆

Sheeran's credits include such pop staples as "Sing," "Thinking Out Loud" and "Shape of You," but his love of music extends well beyond the pop genre. In fact, back in 2015 he appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon doing a number of acoustic heavy metal covers. The skit found him at the center of a fake infomercial doing an angelic version of Iron Maiden's "Run to the Hills" and a stripped down "Break Stuff" from Limp Bizkit.

Sheeran isn't the only unsuspecting celebrity metalhead. See a few more who have proclaimed their love for all things heavy in the gallery below.
