Uncle Si is Narrator for the New 'VeggieTalesChristmas DVD

Everybody's favorite uncle from Duck Dynasty is soon to be your favorite VeggieTales narrator. 'Silas the Okra' will be the narrator on the upcoming Christmas DVD 'VeggieTales: Merry Larry and the True Light of Christmas' due out October 22nd.

If you don't know, VeggieTales is a children's computer animated series of stories teaching morals based on Christianity. The DVD's are not only a huge hit with kids but with parents as well. The series was started in 1993 to help explain to children why God made them special. Kids took to the silly little vegetables, like Larry the Cucumber and Bob the Tomato, and parents loved that they knew their kids were learning life lessons and skills based on faith.

Duck Dynasty fans know Uncle Si, Si Robertson, as funny and quirky yet very in touch with his faith. This makes him a perfect choice for the character known as Silas the okra janitor. In the film he will narrate the story about the true meaning of Christmas.

So far the fan response to adding Uncle Si to the VeggieTales stories has been overwhelming. Adults are ready to buy this DVD more for themselves than their children. That's the great thing about the series, parents love to watch them as much as the kids so there is definitely quality family time to be had by all.
