If hard rocking guitar music is your thing, then get yourself to the ‘Shred ‘Til You’re Dead’ tour this summer. Dream Theater guitar virtuoso John Petrucci heads up the bill, which also features former Nevermore axeman Jeff Loomis and Animals as Leaders guitar slinger Tosin Abasi.

MetalSucks.net reports that all three musicians will have their solo bands on hand, but there will be no vocalists for the evening. The first 5,000 fans to arrive at each show will receive a free ‘Shred ‘Til You’re Dead’ fanny pack. All Shall Perish‘s Francesco Artusato has also signed on for the run as the opening act.

Petrucci was last heard from on Dream Theater’s 2011 album, ‘A Dramatic Turn of Events.’ Loomis has enjoyed some time as a solo artist after building his name with Nevermore. He released his ‘Plains of Oblivion’ album earlier this year. As for Abasi, he was part of the Animals as Leaders disc ‘Weightless’ that was released last year and he’s been working as part of a new collective called T.R.A.M. They expect to release a new album this year as well.
