Disturbed’s David Draiman Questioning Parents Who Bring Infants to Movie Theaters

The tragic movie theater shooting in Colorado has brought up a number of issues, including the fact that there were small children at the midnight showing of the new ‘Batman’ film, ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’

The often outspoken Disturbed singer David Draiman took to his Twitter account to add his two cents to the discussion, first posting a CNN report using the children that were in the theater at the time of the shooting to debate whether or not it was bad parenting to have an infant at a midnight movie. When the question was posed in the report if infants were too young to be at late night showings, Draiman responded on Twitter, “Yes, they are.”

He then proceeded to tweet his commentary, stating, “All you parents out there that think it’s OK to take your infants out on the town with you, to a movie theater or otherwise, do the world a favor. Give your children up for adoption to parents who know what it is to be a responsible parent, and sacrifice on behalf of their children. Get a damn babysitter.”

He added, “Maybe we should take infants to nightclubs and restaurants in the late hours of the night as well? Honestly, f— off. This is why only certain people should be allowed the gift of a child. Too many simply aren’t ready for the responsibility.”

Apparently receiving a bit of backlash, he would later suggest that anyone who didn’t care for what was being said on his Twitter account could simply un-follow, and concluded his thoughts on the matter by tweeting, “Wow … Multiple choice question kids. People either 1. Can’t read 2. There are more s—ty parents out there than I thought 3. All of the above.”
