Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki must be sitting on cloud 9 right now.  He just won an NBA championship, won MVP honors and now his country, Germany, is honoring him with a life-sized Lego statue.  Click for the pics. A Legoland Discovery Center in Germany made a replica of Dirk back in 2003,  and now that statue sits in Grapevine, Texas' Legoland Discovery Center.

The statue is about seven feet tall, made from between 25,000-30,000 Lego blocks and took approximately 3,000 hours to build.  Now, as a kid, I played with Lego's ( I think everybody has), but, I can't imagine spending 3,000 hours playing with Lego blocks.

Unless, Jager had anything to do with it.

Anyway, check out the pictures of this massive Lego construction.  I've also included the picture of when Dirk actually visited the statue himself a few years ago.
